Teran is professional, energetic, and fun teacher!

 

A veteran dance in the dance industry, Teran has 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Teran studied both Dance and Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In college, Teran was captain of her collegiate dance team while earning her degree and K-12 teaching license.  

 

After graduating, Teran’s high-level performance abilities landed her a career as a Modern dancer, Commercial dancer, cruise ship performer, and dancer for the NFL.  Her ability to teach and educate dancers has taken her worldwide, including two years of educating dancers in Beijing, China.

Since 2009, Teran has been a part of the San Diego dance community. After decades of teaching dance classes and coaching dance teams, Teran started her own personal dance training business, Custom Dance SD, to help dancers work towards their individual goals in a private, personalized setting.

​

Teran’s teaching philosophy is that dance is attainable from age 3 to 93! She welcomes all ages, skill levels, and dancers with special abilities.
